This keyboard is excellent. The design, typing experience, and features at this price point are remarkable. The recently implemented beta version of the Rapid Trigger Test has further improved this keyboard. I was truly impressed by the company's technology and enthusiasm.
I hope you continue to do your best. I am cheering this company.
I've actually built four mechanical keyboards in the past, experimenting with different kits and switches. It's always exciting to try something new, but in the end, you realize you only need one keyboard that truly fits your needs. Recently, I stumbled upon DrunkDeer's A75, and it caught my attention.
I've heard about magnetic switches before, like the ones used by SS and Wooting, but their prices were a bit too steep for my liking. However, when I saw the price of the A75, I thought it was definitely worth giving it a try. What intrigued me the most was the 10-level key adjustment feature, which allows you to experience different switch pressures all at once. And never miss feature I think it's pretty good for gamer. It's a unique concept keyboard that got me really curious.
Moreover, the layout of the A75 is just perfect for me. I don't need a number pad for my work, so having a compact and efficient design is a big plus.
Even without any modifications or lubing, the keystrokes on this keyboard feel really nice and smooth. The sound is also pretty decent for an unmodded keyboard. I don't feel the need to modify it anytime soon.
The only thing that bothers me a little is that there's a slight bend around the spacebar area which is noticeable only when you look at the RGB lighting from the front, rather than from the top. But for me this is only a minor issue.
This keyboard is truly incredible!! The *Best* Rgb I've ever seen. Super bright and very fluid when it changes.
I love typing and playing games on this keyboard, it gets the job done! If you’re a casual gamer this will be good enough and is satisfying to type and do homework with. I’m so glad I choose this keyboard.
Great keyboard, nice clack to it and work as intended, only things require improvement is the plastic housing feel not as premium and need a option to set macro key for swapping custom sensitivity profile
DrunkDeer A75, Impressive build quality.
It's insanely budget so automatically this has become the single best value hall effect switch keyboard you can possibly buy so far. It's my recommendation if you're an enthusiast looking for the best gaming board you can find.
Very competitive price for all the value. Typing feels nicer/easier than my older razer keyboard. Provides tool for removing key caps which is nice. RGB is amazing. Honestly very happy in the investment.
Shipping price + time were very reasonable considering it shipped from China!
I switched to DrunkDeer from my MonsGeek M1W HE-SP, due to various issues the latter had in both hardware and software.
My decision to go with DrunkDeer wasn't made easier by the lack of PBT ISO keycaps available. This A75 I ended up getting was the only one that had the ISO layout (although the wrong one, UK instead of Nordic) out of the whole selection, and it was only available in ABS, which I'm not the biggest fan of.
I did a lot of window shopping on other HE keyboard companies and I noticed that the vast majority of them only have ANSI layouts on their boards. That was a major reason I went with MonsGeek for my first HE keyboard as well, as they had ISO Nordic readily available. The A75 is the only model with ISO layout you have so that's the reason I went with it in favor of the other models.
So far the experience using the keyboard has been great, the software is reliable, although it has some flaws, especially the font choice which I despise.
For 90€ including shipping, I'm very happy with my purchase!
What I would consider some good improvements:
Better key layout support, both ABS and PBT keys for ISO layouts, and add Nordic keycaps. Currently only the A75 offers ISO at all, which is a big dealbreaker for many European customers.
Information regarding option availability displayed in the store. As it stands, most option combinations are unavailable and it's unclear when or IF they will become available. I was basically forced into getting the plastic ABS option. A simple "Coming but no timeframe", "Discontinued", or such would be a great addition.
Better UI design in the web driver.
Loved it
Ngl it took a bit to get to Colombia but it was 100% worth the wait
The keyboard feels creamy, at first i didn't even feel like i was touching the keys.
10/10 it does the work perfectly and i would 100% buy another one if mine eventually stops working.
I even did an unboxing call with one of my siblings.
since i got this keyboard i’ve gotten better scores in etterna/osu, instant skill boost and pretty easy to adapt. one of the best keyboards if not the best i had in my 5 years playing.
’ve been using the keyboard for about 6 hours, and the experience has been great. The key presses feel very pleasant and soft while typing. There are many interesting preset lighting effects.
At first, playing with minimal keypress delay felt unusual, but I think that’s just temporary. The downsides of this keyboard are minor.
First, I would prefer a dedicated software application for the computer so I wouldn’t have to remember the link to access the settings.
Second, the turbo mode. Why can’t I change the blue color when it’s activated? Maybe it’s possible, but there’s no way to do it with hotkeys.
And lastly, the cable connection port looks quite unreliable. I know that the pro version has a recessed port to hold the cable more securely, but I think this feature should have been included in the base version as well.
You can‘t really do much wrong with the keyboard itself since it is out of the box quite well modded so you don‘t really have to mod it yourself unless you want it even better. Performance wise it is also by far the best keyboard I‘ve had (Didn‘t have many so far tho) and it does what is promises. The only problem I had is that the web driver only works on chromium browsers meaning it doesn‘t work on firefox. Other than that everything was as expected and reliable.
Keyboard is great sounds and feels so soft and smooth. The softest is really customisable to improve the responsiveness and control of the keyboard and the rgb is clean.
Amazing price performance keyboard overall, one of the fewest to be released in ISO-FR which is the norm in my area . Super reactive Discord in case of issues or questions
Amazing Keyboard.
After checking some reviews I finally got myself the DrunkDeer A75 and I can say I don't regret it.
It looks very good, it sounds AMAZING for a prebuilt Keyboard and Rapidtrigger just feels so good.
Considering this Keyboard costs basically only half as much as a Wooting I can pretty much say it's a no brainer to try this Keyboard out, specially because its available aswell on Amazon.
Shipping:
Incredibly fast. Took 5 days for it to arrive in my city in Europe. I did not have to pay tolls/customs tax for some reason, so the expected price was a lot lower. Won't expect this in the future, but a nice little surprise on my first purchase.
The package was really well protected. As you can see in one of the photos, they have even included "edge guards" to protect the keyboard box from taking damage.
Setup and software:
The keyboard is ready to use after plugging it in, and can be further customized through their web interface which is easily accessible in a browser. Takes a little bit of time to understand the different settings, but the software works well. I was a bit confused about there being a key activation distance setting, in addition to upstroke/downstroke settings.
All keys can be individually customized. They have included "snap tap" and "rapid trigger" options in the software, so it seems they are updating older models to support newer features. Very much appreciated.
Build, design and feel:
The design is gorgeous imo. Love the white with the accented orange. The keyboard feels light but sturdy. The keys, straight out the box, feel nicer than the keyboard I built and lubed myself, so I am very impressed. This size version is also nicely spaced so it's pleasant to type with. The keycaps themselves also somehow feel nicer than the third party ones I have bought before.
All in all, very impressed with this keyboard. I love that they have a more nordic friendly layout in the ISO-DE version. Did not find any competitors who offered this kind of keyboard layout, so for me the A75 was the only option. I just had to change out a few keycaps to match my language and it was almost perfect. Previous keyboards I have used had a layout that made typing in my language very tedious, so this is nice. Hopefully they will include this kind of layout on more of their products, and possible also keycaps to match different languages.
So far, no real complaints. Would recommend.
I've had the keyboard for a short time, I loved the care they give to the package, and for its price the truth that income much thanks to its technology Rapid Trigger and Magnetic Switches, which makes this keyboard different from the others, I'm just getting used to this type of magnetic switches but believe me it is worth investing in something like this, nothing more to say that the brand is on the right track, enjoy.
I can only recommend this, I got tired of waiting for the Wooting 80HE, so I decided to buy this, since it had all the same features, some good switches and at a VERY good price.
It works, it's beautiful and feels solid.
The keyboard feels amazing to use and the sound from switches are very nice and smooth. The Rapid Trigger is very nice to use and the Set Action Point is also very nice to use and the keyboard is very responsive. Love it 10/10
